I simply love this track for its simplicity and for the amazing way it is produced. A beautiful musical journey, and a superb mixture of acoustic instruments, vocal and electronica elements. Eventhough I have heard the track numerous times, it still surprises me ! Nuff Respect to singer Nina Miranda & producer Dennis Wheatley alias Shrift.

The legendary and mysterious German techno dub collective Rhythm & Sound – the creative force behind Basic Channel, Chain Reaction and Maurizio. Mark Ernestus & Moritz Von Oswald , the two masterminds behind Rhythm & Sound have been setting the pace ever since 1993 and are considered some of the most influencial early Techno Pioneers. ”Spend some time” have all the ingredients and trademarks of Rhythm & Sound. A simple hypnotic beat, a heavy & deep bass, chops & stabs, echoes and reverbs galore, and a fantastic vocalist Tikiman (aka Paul St Hilaire) .

A Classic recording from a magical concert, I really wish i had been there. This musical genious is one of the most award winning artists ever coming out of India. Ravi Shankar is 91 and still going strong, playing his sitar all over the world, alongside his daughter Anoushka Shankar. His other daughter is by the way Norah Jones.

Monolake is an electronic music act based in Berlin. Consisting of members Gerhard Behles and Robert Henke. Monolake are wellknown for their minimal dub techno, but the track I have chosen ”Plubicon Epilogue” are more on the ambient electronica side…..It is an outstanding 10 min long ambient fieldtrip. These two Gentlemen founded Ableton Software in 1999. Respect !!!

This ambient mashup is superb for sunday chilling. The way it transforms and develops into a new track is spot on ! It has such a pleasent vibe and allways leave this listener with a big smile.

One of the best vocals in the universe remixed by Canadian Junior Boys. This remix is very simply, and extremely sad ! Junior Boys really gets the best out of Billie Holiday‘s melancholic voice.

Sort Sol is a Copenhagen based rock band, also known as Sods back in the 70s. Their song Siggimund Blue back from 1991 has been mixed by Trentemoller, and as many other things Trentemoller touch, it gets magical. I really love when he grabs the good rock tracks and gives them an electronic sound.
I’m happy that I have been allowed to share this track with you, so i hope you will enjoy it.

Bless You is from Lulu Rouge’s debut album from 2008 with the same title.

Even though the album is a couple of years old now, it still gets played a lot at my house and in my car. Can’t seem to get tired of it.

I know that Lulu Rouge is currently working on their new album, which features some very interesting names. Unfortunately I don’t know much about the release date, but hopefully later this year if all goes according to the plan.

Bless You have been remixed by several artist and here I give you the chance to listen to the amazing song in several versions: First (off
course) the original, the jazzy remix by Mikael Simpson, the more tech-house inspired from Trentemoller and last – but not least – the breathtaking music video.
