The Feeling

Do you know the feeling of being intoxicated from the weekend’s alcohol consumption and every single time you tell yourself that you’ll NEVER EVER drink again. This is how I feel every single time when the weekend and parties are over. Each time the week starts, especially on Mondays I have to drag myself out of bed to get started. But as the days go by and the weekend comes closer and closer I suddenly feel the need and urge to hear music, party and do all the other same stupid things that I did the previous weekends. .

I know I’m not the only one feeling like this. So here’s 3 tracks that will get you in the mood for the coming weekend, whether you’re staying in or going out.

Dear Nora & Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, Hot Boyz (Missy Elliot)

This blog is primarily for electronic music since that’s the genre I like the most. However, I’ve posted different music styles since I first started the blog as I do have a broad music taste. R&B is a good example – I don’t hear it that often because I think a lot of the latest music is boring and unoriginal but sometimes there are a few that I can listen to repeatedly because of the cool beats and texts. Tweet, that I’ve posted earlier (Read here) is a great example. Today you’ll get Hot Boyz in a cover version, so you’ll know what I’m talking about – also my girlfriend loves R&B so this will surely put a smile on her face

Nina Simone Vs. Lulu Rouge – Part 2

Just got a track from Lulu Rouge‘s DJ set from Copenhagen Jazz Festival. As I wrote earlier it was a night to remember (Read here). This track has an up-beat rhythm and I just love the way that the electronic sound is blended perfectly with Nina Simone‘s powerful but yet soulful voice. Hopefully the Lulu Rouge boys will share more of these tracks so we can dream ourselves away

Nicolas Jaar

I woke up very early this morning with a crying baby by my side and looking out the window it was dark, windy and raining – all I wanted to do was to sleep the day away. But I had to take care of the baby so I got up and brewed myself a nice cup of coffee and listen to some good music, and the first song playing on my stereo was one of Nicolas Jaar’s many excellent tracks. Shortly after I was feeling better and ready for the day to finally start. This is why I’ve chosen to share 3 tracks from Nicolas Jaar with you guys today and please listen carefully to El-Bandido – that’s the track that got me going this morning, so hopefully it’ll boost your day as well.
