By now there’s absolutely no doubt about how big of a Lulu Rouge fan I am. They make the best tracks within the electronic scene. When they released the first album, “Bless You” I was completely blown away as every track was just perfect. Althoug it’s a few years old now you can still get a great music experience again and again. I know that the boys are in the midst of recording the second album, which should be released some time in the beginning of next year. Needless to say that I’m excited. I’ve already heard a bit and it’s gonna be delicious.
Here’s a remix of “Melankoli“, a number from “Bless You” and remixed by The Crooked Spoke
Lulu Rouge, Melankoli – The Crooked Spoke Remix
Bless You is from Lulu Rouge’s debut album from 2008 with the same title.
Even though the album is a couple of years old now, it still gets played a lot at my house and in my car. Can’t seem to get tired of it.
I know that Lulu Rouge is currently working on their new album, which features some very interesting names. Unfortunately I don’t know much about the release date, but hopefully later this year if all goes according to the plan.
Bless You have been remixed by several artist and here I give you the chance to listen to the amazing song in several versions: First (off
course) the original, the jazzy remix by Mikael Simpson, the more tech-house inspired from Trentemoller and last – but not least – the breathtaking music video.
Bless You All …
Lulu Rouge, Bless You, Original Version
Lulu Rouge is DJ T.O.M. and Buda, two of the most respected DJs and producers on the Copenhagen scene. Both of these two travellers have been around crashing club land for a decade and a half. Recently DJ T.O.M has been Trentemøllers partner for the last 3 years straight touring the world in nearly every major club you can think of – weekend after weekend.
Buda has been in several bands and constellations in his past. The ground breaking chill-out band Banzai Republic needs to be mentioned here for their release Where The Fun Starts Early In The Day, an album featuring Al Jarreau, Bukka White and Cesaria Evoria amongst others. Artists such as Bliss, Laid Back, TelepopMusik, Phil Mison, Sergio Mendez, Cirque de Soleil and Ganga has also been blessed by Budas production skills.
With their music and productions these two chess playing gentlemen are represented on more than 100 of the biggest compilations worldwide. For instance series like Global Underground, Costes, BBC Blue Sessions, Luftkastellet, Mambo and Buddha Bar. Today the 2 DJ heads, producers and long time friends have decided to join forces and put all the chips on one number; Lulu Rouge. Thus creating one of the most interesting and refreshing sounds coming out of Scandinavia.
